Strongly passionate about designing Shared Commons - designing for the community and public spaces which contribute and engage the wider community and act as a social condenser. Interested in how Architecture and programming can value add in creating social capital and empowering users.

Designing Architecture which can create collective memories while telling relatable narratives which bind users together in the shared spaces and common identities.

Our Tampines Hub (OTH)

07/2012 - 06/2018

•    Key Zone lead for Library (12,000sqm) & Community facilities (6000sqm) highly involved in design, project management, client management, site coordination, contract administration and associated authorities submissions from design conception to post construction follow up

•    120,000sqm, 7 Storeys with 2 Basements, approx SGD $ 475 Mil Construction Cost

•    Singapore’s pioneering model of integrated community and lifestyle hub •    14 governmental stakeholders under one roof,  offering a comprehensive range of facilities and services including sports halls, 4 swimming pools, regional library, 24 hours hawker centre, 400 seater theatre and 5000 seats stadium

•    Champions a refreshing model of integration - for greater spatial efficiency through co-location and co-sharing facilities and synergistic collaboration between stakeholders

• Designed with intensive residents‘ engagement - with the people, for the people

Integrated Premises for Singapore Institute of Architects (SIAIP)
08/2013 - 9/2016

•    Lead Design and Project Architect from design conception to post construction follow up

•    1010sqm, 3 Storeys and 1 Mezzanine,  approx SGD $ 3.5 Mil Construction Cost

•    Adaptive reuse, combining two conservation shophouse units along  Neil Road (Chinatown) with programmes like a theaterette, library and office spaces

•    Explored creating a powerful dialogue between the existing and newbuilt through materiality and an integrated spatial and furniture system approach.

Reconstruction of Thomson Community Club (TCC)
2018 to Present
•    Design Lead and Project Architect for TCC reconstruction from design conception to Tender documentation. •     5900sqm, 3 Storeys and 1 M&E floor
•     Reconstruction of existing TCC with facilities such as Multipurpose hall and courts, dance and music studios, culinary studios, conference and function rooms, etc. Reconstruction includes works beyond site - bridge over canal and linkway to Shunfu Mart. •    Introduced key strategies to enhance connectivity and sense of arrival, create a porous and borderless living room, cluster synergistic programmes and introduce a refreshed and distinctive outlook.
